Wonderful

Perfect stay. Lovely staff. Sensibly sized breakfast.

The toilet blocked very easily. Flush frequently throughout your 'session' to avoid. Also, a lamp in the room would be nice for the evening time.

Good, modest, well priced and well located

The people who worked there were lovely, very welcoming, trustworthy. I am a woman travelling alone and I felt safe there. It’s in a good location. It’s modest accommodation but clean and there are nice areas undercover where you can sit outside. I speak Spanish which helped.

Could have done with more and better quality electrical outlets.

Pleasant stay

The staff of the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. There was someone on reception 24 hours a day which gave a sense of security. The room was basic but comfortable and had everything we needed. The air con worked well. Breakfast was nice. They offered clean towels and to clean the room everyday.

As the room faces the patio you could hear the noice of other guests when they were in the patio talking.

Very Good

Location was good, close to several restaurants and beach. Staff was nice. Breakfast was simple, but they tried to change it everyday. The bed in our room was comfortable.

For our stay I would say it was overpriced, but we stayed during New Year Eve, so I guess that is everywhere the same.

Nice place

The people who work there were very helpful! The owner was perfect! The breakfast very good.

There was no hot water in the shower. No shampoo/shower gel in the bathroom (you have to buy it from the super market).

The location was great. It is close to everything. You have restaurants, stores, pharmacy and the beach is right around the corner. Breakfast as very good as well.

The room is very bare bones. We only had one outlet. There is no furniture except the bed and the safe is incredibly small. The tv had a switch on the side and you had to get up and turn off the tv by the switch. Very annoying to do when you are falling asleep and have to turn off the tv. The bed had only 2 sheets as blankets and they were very thin. Since the AC was on bc Cartagena is incredibly hot, we had to turn the AC on high and the lack of blankets kept us cold all night. The room was next to the breakfast area so we could hear the people in the morning talking. The service was also very poor. When we arrived the man at the front desk did not help us carry our luggage up the stairs. He saw us and ignored us. Same happened when we checked out. The lady saw us and did not offer to help. We had stayed at other hotels where they would carry our suitcases all the way to our rooms. Also, they were not very friendly or welcoming. It seemed like they did not want to work there and they were forced. Poor service in general. I would not return to this hotel and would not recommend it. Everything about it was bad. The only redeeming quality is the location.

Malfunctioning Air Conditioner (AC) and room has no access to fresh air.

Clean and location.

The small room was sealed with no open windows facing the small courtyard and no possibility of getting fresh air. The AC malfunctioned, cooling the room past the set 24 celsius (to likely in the teens covered with sheet only and down from a high of 29C) making the room much too cold in early early hours of the morning and while sleeping. As a result I developed a sore throat and a cough during coronavirus epidemic. Setting the AC to fan only did not work. The clerk offered later a better room with fresh air window, but two days later.
